This is our 20″ Custom Damascus Hunting Tomahawk Felling Axe. We have forged the blade of this bearded axe with a length the blade about 6-inch and the length of the cutting side of the blade about 5-inch. The blade is hand forged from highly beaten Damascus steel. There is a 20-inch long shaft attached to the axe head which is made from a type of hardwood. The handle is also handcrafted ergonomically to balance the axe for melee & close range throwing. The build of this axe is very strong & durable. We also provide you with a high-quality Viking-style leather sheath that will protect the edge of the blade when not in use.

This axe can be used for different tasks from cutting down trees, chopping firewood, splitting logs to cutting meat, skinning small game animals, slicing vegetables or processing small traps. The axe can also be used for shaving and crafting wood by gripping it right behind the beard of the axe on the handle. This type of axe was used by the Vikings to dismantle an enemy shield & weapons and protect the hand when gripped on the handle behind the beard of the axe. You can also use it, in the same way as a hook. The ability of this axe to be able to hold at the top of the handle behind the beard gives the user more control during heavy use.
