12″ Genuine World War I Historic Khukuri | Full Tang Army Kukri Knife

This is a 12″ Genuine World War I Historic Khukuri | Full Tang Army Kukri Knife by Ex Gurkha Khukuri House. This khukuri (also called Kukri or Khukri by many people outside Nepal) is one of the beautiful reproductions of the old World War I khukuri used in the past. It is a very famous khukuri among military knife collectors because of the fact that the very design of this khukuri was armed and used by the Gurkha soldier of the British Army in hand-to-hand combats in the jungle of Burma during world War 1st. It has a broad and more curved blade than other standard khukuris and can generate great impact damage when using it.

The 12″ Genuine World War I Historic Khukuri has a semi-polished blade made from highly graded 5160 carbon steel. It has a very strong and sharp edge with a balanced oil-quenching temper. The handle is a flat and full tang made from rosewood. It also has a hand-etched metal on the middle grove of the handle that not only enhances the beauty of the khukuri but also provides a better grip and control of the khukuri. We can clearly see the metal part of the blade in between the rosewood pieces which are strongly riveted to the metal of the handle with metal bolts. This type of handle is excellent for heavy-duty work as the impact of the blade is evenly distributed throughout the blade and to the user’s hand respectively. The handle also features a lanyard hole so that you can attach a strap or loop.

The khukuri played a very significant role in creating the history of the Gurkhas soldiers of the British Army. This khukuri is a very useful knife on the battlefield and also a great cutting & chopping tool to use for any kind of heavy task. It can be used to chop wood, firewood, bone, meat or to clear bushes.
