5″ Bushcraft Skinner Knife | Hand Forged Full Tang Utility Hunting Knife

This is a 5″ Bushcraft Skinner Knife | Hand Forged Full Tang Utility Hunting Knife from Ex Gurkha Khukri House. The knife has a 5-inch blade and is made from highly graded 5160 carbon steel with a balanced oil-quenching temper. The blade has a pointed tip with an extremely sharp edge that is light and easy to use. These skinner knives are sometimes called swept point blade as it is curved from the tip of the blade coming down to the belly of the knife.

The handle is a 5-inch long full tang handle and is made from water buffalo horn. There is a beautiful sheath made from cottonwood wrapped in water buffalo leather to keep your knife when not in use and protect the blade from damage. We will provide a leaflet enclosed in the packaging with information on how to care for the knife upon delivery. Taking proper care of the knife will make it last a long time.

This 5″ Bushcraft Skinner Knife can be used in the kitchen while cooking to cut meat & vegetables although we specially made this knife for sweeping knife strokes during hunting or other outdoor adventures to skin animals, scrape meat from bones, caping game animals, etc.

Tips to care for your knife:

1. Never store your knife for a long time in a leather sheath.
2. Leather can absorb water, which will rust the knife while decreasing the lifespan of the leather. So, try to avoid leather materials from getting soaked in water. If they get wet, dry them gently at ambient temperature. Don’t dry leather materials in a hot dryer, radiator, or direct sunshine.
3. Always clean the blade with oil or wax after using it.
