10″ Traditional Ganjawal Khukuri | Hand-Forged Special Military Kukri

This is a 10″ Traditional Ganjawal Khukuri | Hand-Forged Special Military Kukri.  It is a very old traditional khukuri design with 7 useful tools held in the scabbard. There are small working tools attached to the scabbard like an ear cleaner, toothpick, screwdriver, tweezer, and pencil. There are two small utility knives (Karda & Chakmak ) in the pocket at the back of the scabbard. Chakmak is a blunt steel knife that is used for sharpening the blade or for creating a spark with a flint. The other little sharp knife is Karda which is used for skinning small animals such as rabbits or for cutting fruits. The knife as well as the smaller tools all have Water buffalo horn handles. There is also a pouch behind the tools where flint powder is kept for starting fires. It is also called the “Swiss Army knife” of Nepal by many foreigners who visit Nepal.

It has a highly graded 5160 carbon steel blade which is strong enough to cut wood or bone. The handle is a fixed rat tail tang handle and is made from a water buffalo horn.  As you can see it has a beautifully decorated ganjawal leather scabbard made from pinewood wrapped in refined water buffalo leather. This is the most beautiful & useful khukuri to carry during outdoor adventures like camping & hunting.
