11″ Blade Full Tang Double Edged Extra Curved Balance Khukuri | EGKH is the best outdoor cutting tool and the traditional khukuri by EGKH. The kukri has a beautiful extra-curved blade shape. This Balance Khukuri (also called kukri or khukuri by many people outside Nepal) has a beautiful blade shape. Our team of traditional Nepalese blacksmiths, called Kaami, forged it at our factory in Nepal. Nepalese blacksmiths have been using traditional tools to forge blades for generations. Crafting this kind of khukuri (kukri) is very difficult because it has to be equally proportionate at both ends. The shape of this khukuri is similar to that of a Boomerang. The khukuri is very carefully hand-forged. Its balance point lies approximately in the middle of the blade.
This 11″ Blade Full Tang Double Edged Extra Curved Balance Khukuri | EGKH has an 11-inch blade made from highly graded 5160 carbon steel with a polished finish and a razor-sharp edge. There is a 6.5-inch long full tang handle made from strong rosewood with a guard on the handle. The guard will protect your hand from the extremely sharp edge of the blade when you are using it. The scabbard is made from two pinewood pieces which are glued together by Laha (a traditional Nepali glue) and then wrapped in water buffalo leather. This is an outdoor khukuri that can be used to clear branches & bushes, hack firewood, finish off game, etc.
The handle has a circumference of 4.5 inch, providing a comfortable grip. With a belly measuring 2.8 inch, an upper spine of 4 mm, and a lower spine of 2 mm, this Khukuri offers both indoor and outdoor use. It is also easy to sharpen and has been carefully oil-quenched to achieve optimum harness. Its spine hardness ranges from 22-25 RC, while the belly hardness stands at 45-46 RC and the edge hardness at an impressive 58-60 RC. This khukuri along with all our other blades are backed & covered by the EGKH Warranty to ensure you’re at peace of mind while ordering or using it.
