The 11″ Custom Angkhola Farmer Khukuri | Full Tang Traditional Kukri is most commonly used on any farm in the countryside of Nepal as a woodcutting and general-purpose tool. Khukuri (also called “kukri” or “khukri” in the west) is a very common agricultural and household working tool in Nepal. The use of this khukuri is varied from building, clearing, chopping firewood, clearing weeds, dividing perennials, slashing brush, and digging to cutting meat and vegetables, skinning animals, and opening tins. It can be used to chop wood or bone and clean bushes.
This 11″ Custom Angkhola Farmer Khukuri | Full Tang Traditional Kukri has an unpolished edge and is rust-free which is best for jungle use. The 12-inch rust-free blade is made of highly graded 5160 carbon steel with oil quenching on the edge of the blade making it very strong. The 5″ handle is a flat full tang guard (Blocker) handle made from rosewood. Unlike other handles, the handle and blade are one single piece and visible all around the handle (See pictures). Two Rosewood pieces joint (attached) strongly to the metal part of the handle with two metal rivets. The light brown scabbard is made of pinewood wrapped in water buffalo leather.
This khukuri comes with two small utility knives called Karda (Sharp) and Chakmak (blunt). Karda is a small sharp knife for cutting fruits or skinning small game animals whereas Chakmak is a blunt knife for honing/sharpening the khukuri blade or lighting fire with a flint. There are two small pockets on the back of the scabbard that holds these small utility knives.
