11″ Royal Gurkha Rifles Kothimora Khukuri | Authentic RGR Kukri

This is 11″ Royal Gurkha Rifles Kothimora Khukuri (also called “kukri” & “khukri” by many people outside Nepal). This Kothimora Kukri has the Royal Gurkha Rifles “RGR” regimental badge on the scabbard. The Kothimora name is always used to refer to the khukuri which has the scabbard especially made using silver. There are different Gurkha Regiment in the British Army better known as the Brigade of Gurkhas, and they have their own Regimental Badges. This “RGR” Royal Gurkha Rifles regiment Kothimora khukuri is traditionally presented to the British and Gurkha Officers by their Regiment for his courage, sincerity & loyalty to the regiment and the nation during his retirement.

The work and the design of the silver on the scabbard are very immaculately done with the Regimental cap badges mounted on it. The colors of the respective Regiment are kept as a background using the high quality velvet. This khukuri has Dragon and Pashupatinath Temple engraved on the blade but you can also request your personal design (may incur additional charges) to engrave on your blade upon purchase of this khukuri which we will happily fulfill.

The blade on this khukuri is a polished 11-inch blade handforged from highly graded 5160 carbon steel. The tail-tang handle is about 5-inch long and crafted from rosewood. The scabbard is also beautifully made with a lot of work done for the detailing and made by using cotton, velvet and pure silver filigree to enhance the overall beauty of the khukuri.

This khukuri can be used as normal working khukuris to cut meat, wood, vegetables & fruits etc though the khukuri was specially designed to be a decorative & souvenir piece to mark the bravery of a soldier during their active duty.
