This is a 12″ Double Edge Dragon Scale | Dragon Spine Khukuri | Genuine Full Tang Kukri. This Khukuri (often called kukri or khukri by most people outside Nepal) is named as “Dragon Scale | Dragon Spine” because the spine of the blade is shaped like the back of a dragon. Also the belly of the blade has scaled designs like those found on the body of a dragon. This Khukuri has a double edge which makes it especially good for hunting activities. The blade of this Khukuri is thin and sharp while being super strong at the same time. This Khukuri is lightweight in this size category but strong with a beautiful handle made of rosewood. The grip of the handle is very comfortable.
The 12-inch blade has a razor-sharp edge and is made from a highly graded 5160 carbon steel blade. The blade is semi-polished with oil quenching temper on the blade. This blade features a distinctive slope and curve that is unique to other khukuris. The handle is a 5.5-inch crafted from long dark rosewood and is a full tang handle. The handle also has a polished handguard which will protect the user’s hand while using this khukuri. Moreover, we provide you with a premium western leather sheath made from cottonwood wrapped in refined water buffalo leather with a belt loop.
This khukuri weighs about 625 grams only khukuri and about 910 grams including the scabbard. All Khukuris have two pockets on the back of the scabbard which hold a blunt steel called “chakmak” for sharpening the blade or for striking spark with a flint and a little sharp knife known as “karda” used for skinning small animals or cutting fruits.
This Khukuri can be used in camping, cutting wood, clearing branches & bushes besides self-defense. It has varied uses from building, clearing, chopping firewood, digging, slaughtering animals for food, cutting meat and vegetables to skinning animals, and opening cans. It is used as a general farm and household tool. The kukri can also be used as a survival knife or camping knife during outdoor adventures.
