12″ Farmer’s Seax Cleaver | Handmade Bushcraft Hunting Knife

This is a 12″ Farmer’s Seax Cleaver | Handmade Bushcraft Hunting Knife. The seax comes in varying sizes from small utility knives to nearing sword lengths, depending on the desired use. This Seax would likely be best used as a hatchet or a machete for outdoor use. This Knife can be used for cutting wood, firewood, bone, meat, clearing bushes, etc. Due to its standard size, this knife can be a good tool for camping & hunting or for use as a survival knife outdoors. It is also used as a general farm and household tool.

The blade of this 12-inch long with a balanced oil quenched temper and is made from 5160 carbon steel used in truck springs. We have done a satin finish on the bevel and the rest of the body in raw finish. The blade has been hand forged by the “Kaamis” (Nepalese blacksmith) who mostly belong to “Bishwakarma” caste (Born khukuri Makers) using the top quality materials in a very traditional way with traditional tools. The blade is also forged to minimize rusting so you can use it in wet situations.

The handle of the khukuri is 6-inch and is made from Indian rosewood. The full tang handle has been made taking into consideration the user’s comfort and ease of use. Therefore it can be used for long periods without excessive stress on the hands. The scabbard is made from pinewood wrapped in refined water buffalo leather.
