The 14″ Full Tang Historic Rust Free Khukuri | Handmade Machete Kukri | EGKH kukri knife plays a significant role in the daily life of a Nepalese farmer. Its blade resembles the Bhojpuri Khukuri. Our team of traditional Nepalese blacksmiths, called Kaami, forged it at our factory in Nepal. Nepalese blacksmiths have been using traditional techniques & mostly traditional tools to forge blades as they have been forged for generations. This Machete Kukri boasts a 14-inch blade forged from 5160 High Carbon Steel, renowned for its durability and strength. The blade’s unpolished finish adds a touch of elegance to its rugged demeanor while making it rust-free.
14″ Full Tang Historic Rust Free Khukuri | Handmade Machete Kukri | EGKH has a full-tang handle made from rosewood which makes it extremely durable. The handle, measuring 5.5 inches, is made from the same single piece of steel that continues to the blade, providing extreme sturdiness. It features two rosewood pieces securely attached to the metal part with five metal rivets. The blade has an upper spine thickness of 11 mm, a lower spine of 9 mm, and a belly width of 2.5 cm. The unpolished finish adds to its authentic appeal.
The 14″ Full Tang Historic Rust Free Khukuri | Handmade Machete Kukri | EGKH can be used to chop wood or bone, clean bushes, and also for other kinds of domestic work. A Karda & a Chakhmakh are included with this khukuri. Karda is a sharp knife that can be used to cut fruits & vegetables, open tin cans, etc. The Chakhmakh is a blunt steel that can be used to hone the khukuri blade or to produce sparks for fire with fire steel or flint.
With the scabbard included this 14″ Full Tang Historic Rust Free Khukuri | Handmade Machete Kukri | EGKH knife weighs approximately 1050 grams. The blade exhibits varying levels of hardness across its structure: the spine measures 22-25 RC, the belly 45-46 RC, and the edge boasts an impressive 58-60 RC. The scabbard has a leather loop used to attach it to the belt. This kukri knife comes with a pinewood scabbard wrapped in water buffalo leather.
