This 21″ Hand Forged Carbon Steel Blade Hunting Tanto Sword | Yak Horn Handle is an amazing Japanese Tanto sword made from 5160 high carbon steel. We used high carbon steel to provide extra strength & durability to the blade. This ensures the blade can easily last a lifetime with just minor proper maintenance & care. We have properly tempered the blade along with its edge. The proper tempering allows the blade to hold the super sharp edge. This also provides the blade with the strength & flexibility it needs during heavy use. The tip of the blade is finished at an angle resulting in a pointed tip. This sharp & pointed tip can be used for thrusting or piercing through subjects.

We made this beautiful blade with a full tang 9 inch handle made of Yak horn. The handle on this Tanto sword is perfect for handling with one hand or both hands. We also carved grooves on the handle to provide extra grip to your palms to hold onto the sword during heavy use. We made a guard at the bottom the blade to protect your fingers from slipping into the blade. Our blacksmith also went extra steps to carve beautiful pattern on the bolster. There is a lanyard hole at the bottom of the handle with a lanyard that can be used to hang the sword on to a wall or onto your backpack. You can also use the lanyard to tie the sword to your hand during heavy use. This helps to prevent the sword from slipping away from your hand.
