Introducing the EGKH Handforged 6″ Single Handed Tomahawk Axe , a remarkable tool & a weapon crafted with precision. A tomahawk, also called a hawk, is a type of axe that was traditionally used with one hand in North America. It looks like a hatchet with a straight handle. The term “tomahawk” originated from the Powhatan word and became part of the English language in the 17th century. Tomahawks served as versatile tools for both Native Americans and European colonists. They were used in various ways, serving as hand-to-hand combat weapons or to be thrown as projectiles. The metal heads of tomahawks were originally modeled after Royal Navy boarding axes and were even traded with Native Americans in exchange for food and other necessities. Recognizing the widespread demand for handmade Tomahawk Axes, we have brought forth this exceptional creation from Nepal. Our customers from all around the world have expressed their desire for such a high-quality, handcrafted axe, and we are proud to meet their expectations.
The 6″ Single Handed Tomahawk Axe has a handle that measures 13″ in length and is made of 5160 High Carbon Steel, ensuring extra durability and strength. With an unpolished finish, the blade exhibits both functionality and a visually appealing appearance. The unpolished blade on the axe has a flat full tang handle. Two pieces of rosewood are attached on either side of the full tang metal with rivets to complete the handle. The handle offers a secure and comfortable grip for extended periods of use. The handle is designed to be extremely durable & comfortable. The blade of the axe is also easy to sharpen and has been carefully oil-quenched to achieve optimal tempering. Its spine hardness ranges from 22-25 RC, while the belly hardness stands at 45-46 RC and the edge hardness at an impressive 58-60 RC. Purchasing this axe from EGKH ensures not only a remarkable and reliable axe but also comes with the added benefit of being covered by the EGKH Warranty.
