8″ Authentic Seax knife | Handmade Full Tang Seax Knife

This 8″ Authentic Seax Knife | Handmade Full Tang Seax Knife is one of the creative seax knife designs by Ex Gurkha Khukuri House. We were inspired by one of the oldest seax designs used in the Vikings era a couple of centuries ago and hence forged this design from it. It is purely handmade like the seax knives used in the past. It is hand forged by Kaamis from the “Biswakarma” caste who are the traditional inheritors of the art of khukuri making. They have been the bladesmiths of Nepal for many generations. They use centuries-old forging methods passed on from generation to generation. They forge the knife from the best materials and craft the knife using their traditional hand tools.

The blade is 8 inches in length and made from highly graded 5160 carbon steel with a balanced oil-quenching temper. The blade is extremely sharp & pointed and there is semi-polished finish on the edge whereas the remaining body is raw-finished. The handle is 5 inches in length and made from rosewood. It is a full tang handle where the blade can be seen throughout the entire length of the handle. It also features a guard to protect the hands from the sharp edge of the blade to prevent any further injury while using the knife. There is a western pure leather sheath made from water buffalo leather to keep the knife when not in use.

This 8″ Authentic Seax Knife | Handmade Full Tang Seax Knife is a tactical survival knife that can be used on outdoor adventures like camping, hunting, hiking, etc. It can be used as a utility knife while setting up camps or preparing food outdoors. The pointed blade can also be used to puncture the hearts of game animals or to skin & scrape the hide.
