The handle has a decorative design that makes the handle unique from others. There is a 4-inch long rat tail tang handle made from rosewood for easy and comfortable handling during use.
The 9″ Blade Dhankute Decorative Wooden Khukuri knife has a handle with 3.5 inch circumference, providing a comfortable grip. With a belly measuring 1.7 inch, an upper spine of 5 mm, and a lower spine of 3 mm, this Khukuri offers both strength and precision. The blade has been carefully oil-quenched to achieve properly balanced tempering for maximum strength & optimum hardness. This makes the blade very easy to sharpen when needed. Its spine hardness ranges from 22-25 RC, while the belly hardness stands at 45-46 RC and the edge hardness is at an impressive 58-60 RC.
A Karda & Chakmak are included with this khukuri. Karda is a sharp knife that can be used to cut fruits & vegetables, open tin cans, etc. The Chakmak is a blunt steel that can be used to hone the khukuri blade or to produce sparks for fire with fire steel or flint.
